"I had an awesome experience here! Very affordable and relaxing. The admission into the common areas are 10€ per hour. The common areas include 1 jacuzzi, 1 sauna and 1 steam room. They have freshly crushed ice being made in this area, so you can rub your body down with ice and enter the sauna, it is supposedly very good for you skin. I thought the ice was a nice extra touch! In addition the the 1 hour in the common areas I also did a massage it was about 100€. I opted for the relaxing massage, this was more gentle and soothing, not much pressure. One hour is more than enough time in the comfort areas, but if you are looking to make a long day out of it you can definitely do 2 hours for 20€. If I am ever in Barcelona again this well definitely be a return stop for me!"
"I made a last minute booking for myself and my mother visiting Barcelona for a few days. We had the aromatherapy massage with an hour extra in the spa. It was a great experience overall, the staff were lovely and took very good care of us, even provided us with flip flops as we didn’t realise we needed them (I didn’t check the email). The massage was very gentle and relaxing - we found ourselves in very capable hands! The spa facilities were very clean and since nobody else was booked at that time we had the whole place to ourselves. Overall it was great value for money and exactly what we were looking for!"

"I requested a deep tissue massage and specifically asked not to have a head massage. Unfortunately, I had to repeatedly ask the masseuse for more pressure, and eventually, I gave up asking because the massage remained too gentle. It felt like more of a light stroke up my back than the deep pressure I wanted. I also asked twice to stop focusing on my upper back since we had spent too much time there, and I was getting bored with the lack of intensity. Despite asking to concentrate on my lower back, the masseuse kept going back to my upper back and arms. To top it off, she gave me a head massage, which I clearly said I didn't want. Having had many massages before, this was by far the worst experience."

"I hope it's not the usual case and only I had a bad experience, but the 2 hours in which I should have relaxed and enjoyed became close to torture. The massage was supposed to be a strong one, but it was the worst I had in my life; the masseur seemed not to have any experience or knowledge about how to make one, and her touches were super annoying alongside a 1-minute loop of a piano that kept going for an hour. After escaping the massage, I went to relax in the SPA which is actually a common area of the place and everyone (clients, employees) was passing through. I left after other clients joined the already too-crowded Spa."

We asked for a tonic massage and it was very soft, it looked more like 1 hour of caresses. Then we went at the spa. Another couple was already in the spa and it took several minutes for them to leave and for the staff to clean the room. The equipments were not great, there was a cockroach in the hammam room... we left before the end. The shower was not working well and they give us only one towel for the whole experience. If you are looking for a best in class couple experience, this is not it."

"The location is very good, it is in the center of Barcelona and is easy to reach by public transport. It was a friend and I, and we started with a massage. From the first moment we were treated very gently, calmly and very pleasantly. The spa atmosphere invites you to relax and unwind. During massage they use oils and different smells. After the pleasant massage we move to the spa, which consists of a large jacuzzi, with different jets, a sauna, and a hammam. It also has some seats for a drink. They offer you champagne and cupcakes. Then there’s the spa shower with hot water and an ice dispenser to put you on your skin. The dressing rooms are very nice and have a locker where you can leave things, bathroom and showers with shampoo and conditioner. They also have a hairdryer. There is no need to wear a hat or towel. You just need swimming trunks and flip-flops. It is a good option to relax and stop for a moment in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. We'll be back."

The welcome was perfect, the staff extremely friendly and professional. We also had champagne, water and candy at our disposal. After being in the jacuzzi we had a 30 min massage. The massage was just magical. The person in charge of my massage was gentle but at the same time very efficient. No more back pain upon leaving. In short, I recommend this establishment with my eyes closed, especially for the price. This experience would have cost us an arm and a leg in France. And what was our surprise when, after complaining, Urban 1850 considered this technique normal and did not want to take responsibility for its mistake. Honestly, the service does not live up to the quality they claim to offer, much less the price. Privacy (you can book a private session as a couple) seemed a joke, other couples passed by 3 times (only one time it was asked if it was ok). We could eventually have lived with that. The jaccuzi was basic but ok, not a lot of bubbles, seemed a little old. Some spots were dirty. But what really bothered me was the two ladies who massaged us were constantly whispering things in Spanish to each other and laughing, probably thinking we wouldn't hear this nor see this (as you get a towel over your eyes). But I did see it from under my towel. It was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. Also, the chair in which I needed to put my head for the massage SMELLED really bad, like old sweat. The only thing that was ok I guess was the sauna. Would not recommend and definitely not for that price, if this is one of the best spas in Barcelona we pity the people of Barcelona."
